In my humble opinion, I think every day should be world gratitude day.
Being grateful and expressing our gratitude indeed, confirms how blessed we are. Gratitude does not mean life is perfect but when we see life in all its fullness, gratitude inspires us to recognise some degree of goodness in our daily lives.
When we think of gratitude, its very easy to think of gratitude in terms of the things we have or the goals we have accomplished but am sure we can agree that we do not accomplish these things on our own and that we have had help along the way.
I came across the quote below which I think drives home this point further, I hope you take some time today, to dwell on it and what this means for you.
“At times, our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.” Albert Schweitzer
Today, I want you to think about what you are truly grateful for, but before you do, please remember that gratitude encompasses an undisputed reliance on others in our lives.
In expressing our gratitude, we must recognise that there are people who have supported us and helped us to accomplish the goals, visions, the dreams etc.
So, as I am reminded of gratitude today, I would like to say that I am grateful to all of you for being part of my journey, personally, professionally and spiritually! I am grateful for you!
